WJ Training Academy goes the extra mile for children’s charity!

Charity in the community is very close to the heart of WJ and this year we have decided to raise money for a fantastic charity called the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. The Donna Louise Trust are a registered Children’s charity caring for and supporting children with life limiting conditions and their families.

Now for the hard bit…………. the WJ Training Academy (4 man team) is going to take on the notoriously difficult Lands’ End to John O’Groats Cycle Challenge. The route we are taking is just shy of 1000 miles and we are hoping to complete the trip in 10 days;

Start 29th August
Day 1: Lands’ End, Cornwall to Widemouth Bay, Cornwall
Day 2: Widemouth Bay, Cornwall to Bridgewater, Somerset
Day 3: Bridgewater, Somerset to Tewkesbury, Worcester
Day 4: Tewkesbury, Worcester to Stoke on Trent
Day 5: Stoke on Trent to Lancaster, Lancashire
Day 6: Lancaster, Lancashire to Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire
Day 7: Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire to Kinross, Perth & Kinross
Day 8: Kinross, Perth & Kinross to Aviemore, Cairngorms
Day 9: Aviemore, Cairngorms to Helmsdale, Highlands
Day 10: Helmsdale to John O’ Groats
Finish 8th September

None of the team has ever taken on anything like this before, but are determined and have been training hard for several months since coming up with the idea early in the year. We are under no illusions how hard this is going to be, but are fully committed to complete this challenge in the hope of raising as much as possible to help with the fantastic work that is done at the Donna Louise Hospice.

As hard as our challenge is going to be it’s only a fraction of what these children go through daily, so please give generously what you can afford and let’s help support the children and all the fantastic work that is done there.
